Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.  Mayerthorpe Veterinary Services stays on top of the latest advances in veterinarian technology and above all, remembers that all animals and pets need to be treated with loving care in every check-up, procedure, or surgery. 

Mayerthorpe Veterinary Services was established in 1981 by Dr. John Kyle.  John served the area for 30 years until retiring in December of 2010.  Long time associates Dr. Claire Ainsworth and Dr. Janelle Gauthier purchased both Mayerthorpe Veterinary Services and the Hilltop Veterinary Clinic from John at that time.  Claire and Janelle strive to maintain the same high level of commitment to the practice of Veterinary Medicine that John did.

Since purchasing the clinics, two new associates have joined the clinics.  Dr. Sarah Wahlert has been part of the practice since 2013, and Dr. Jordan Bremmekamp has been with us since early 2015.  

The practice continues to expand services, in no small part due to the help of our loyal and hard working support staff.  

For those clients in the Whitecourt area, we also have an affiliated clinic located at the top of the hill in Whitecourt, across from the RCMP detachment.   For more information, click here.
