Welcome to Gateway Pet Hospital!

At Gateway Pet Hospital, we are open 7 days a week to be here when you need us most. We offer vaccination appointments, examinations, spay/neuter surgery, dental services, imaging and emergency care. Our hospital is a full service facility and is furnished with in-hospital lab equipment, digital radiology, ultrasound, ECG, and a dental suite.

In May 2011, we moved to our new location at 4391 King St. East, Kitchener. Gateway Pet Hospital is a CVO Accredited Facility, and having 4 veterinarians on staff is an advantage to our clients -- cumulatively, we have aver 40 years of veterinary experience and can offer 4 opinions for the price of 1!

At this location, we built a larger, more spacious clinic with current medical equipment to serve our clients better. The rescued pet program is a passion shared by all of our staff, and we always have a few "freeloaders" that are looking for a forever home.

Gateway is dedicated to continuing education and our veterinarians, technicians and staff are passionate about staying on the cutting edge of medicine. We hold monthly continuing education sessions for our staff and encourage our team to attend conferences and seminars. Our approach to pet care is to make the same recommendations we would for our own pets! Many of our technicians have specialized in areas they are passionate about, including nutrition, fear-free and anesthesia.

We also realize pet care costs money, sometimes unexpectedly -- we will do our best to get you the most information diagnostically, while working within your budget. We're here to work with you to keep your pet healthy through all of their life stages, and of course we always welcome your questions or concerns!

Our In-Home Service

In May 2011, we added one more service to our hospital and became certified with our Mobile Veterinary Service. This now allows us to perform house calls for those people who can’t make it out to us, those who are in need of home service, or those who prefer at-home euthanasia.

Our Community

Throughout the year, Gateway Pet Hospital staff take part in many community and charity events, such as:
Supporting a local animal rescue
Wiggle Waggle Walkathon in support of the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society

Each holiday season, we choose a new charity to collect Christmas gifts for and donate them on behalf of the staff and our clients in the spirit of the season!
